"This circus for cats takes kids and adults on an enchanting journey from a fresh point of view... Performers really get under the skin - make that the fur - of felines as they romp, wrestle, stretch and cuddle, blending dance, acrobatics and trapeze artistry with an uncanny understanding of cat behavior. Charming...hilarious...moving...." –The Oregonian
Tiger Lilly & Sunny Lu is based on the memoirs of Sunny Lu (a beautiful orange Tabby). See the extraordinary human members of Do Jump create a one-room feline circus. This show includes trampoline furniture, flying human cat toys, and an aquarium full of live musicians playing music from rock and roll to opera. Artful, athletic, and hilarious, Tiger Lilly & Sunny Lu is great for audiences of all ages.
Tiger Lilly & Sunny Lu was choreo-directed by Robin Lane in collaboration with award winning designers and composers Michael Curry (costume concept consultant), Tad Shannon (Lighting), Joan Szymko and Klezmocracy (composers), and Burch Works (animation). This show is made possible by grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Regional Arts and Culture Council, the Oregon Art Commission and The Collins Foundation.
Performed by the Do Jump Company: Nicolo Kehrwald, Yoji Hall, Brittany Walsh, and Tia Zapp; with special guest performer Tony Palomino.
