We welcome your input on our policies. If you have questions, comments or concerns call the school director Wendy
Cohen at 503.231.1232 (or e-mail Do Jump at dojump@dojump.org)
Payments/Refunds/Credits
Tuition payment is due at the time of registration. If a student must withdraw from a class, camp or workshop the following applies:
If a student withdraws less than one week before the start of class or camp, the student will receive a Do Jump class or ticket credit for the full amount of tuition.
If a student withdraws up to one day after the class or camp has begun, the student will receive a prorated Do Jump class or ticket credit.
If a student withdraws two or more days after a class or camp has begun, we will be unable to issue a refund or credit.
Private lesson cancellations require 24 hours prior notification; full payment for the lesson will be required for any notification after that time.
Drop-ins/Class Cards
Baby Circus. Limited drop-ins are available for Baby Circus classes. Please call the Do Jump office by 4pm the day before class to register in advance. If the class is full, we will ask you to try another week. Baby Circus drop-in classes are $15/class.
Youth. Friday "Do Jump Sampler" drop-in classes are available for current, returning, or new students. Please call the Do Jump office to register in advance. Do Jump Sampler classes are $15/class.
Adults. Current or returning Adult students may drop-in to any non-Level 1 class, space permitting. You may call the Do Jump office at 503.231.1232 to determine which classes have available drop-in space. Class cards may be purchased for all Adult drop-in classes: class cards are $125 for $150 worth of classes. With the exception of Adult Open Workout, drop-in prices are $15 for 1½ hour classes and $20 for 2 hour classes. Adult Open Workout is $15.
Missed Classes & Make-ups
Baby Circus. Baby Circus students may schedule one make-up for a missed Baby Circus class each 5-week term. Make-up classes are available during other, regularly scheduled Baby Circus classes, but make-up space is limited. Please call the Do Jump office at 503.231.1232 at least 24 hours before class to schedule a make-up. If the class is full, we will ask you to try another week. |
Youth Classes. Because of the sequentially-structured nature of our classes, and because of our commitment to maintain a low student-teacher ratio, we are unable to offer make-up classes or credits for missed youth classes. |
Adult Classes. Adult students may schedule two make-ups for missed classes each 10-week term. Make-up classes may only be scheduled for the following classes: |
Observing Class
Family and friends of students are invited to observe the first day of class or camp only. After that, we ask that parents, friends and relatives not observe class unless special arrangements are made in advance with the teaching staff. Experience has taught us that an audience during class can be a dangerous distraction to students. Instructors are available before and after class to discuss each student's progress and class experience. And, family and friends are invited to a short performance at the end of each class. Please put it on your calendar so that you don't miss out!
Day Care
Unfortunately we do not have the resources to look after children before or after class. Parents who drop their
children off unsupervised more than 10 minutes early or pick their children up more than 10 minutes late will be charged a day care
fee of $10 per quarter hour.
What to wear
Please remember to dress your student appropriately for class – comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement and is not distracting. Please dress your child in layers in winter months, as both spaces can be chilly.
